Sydney Franklin is committed to making a change in her community.

She was recently selected as the only student from the United States to receive the Change Maker Award, which recognizes an individual who has made a significant contribution to their community through volunteering, creativity, and commitment to the service of others. Sydney was honored at the Let Us Dream conference at Grambling State University for her award.

Sydney was also featured recently in the August/September issue of Urbane Magazine, where she was interviewed about her story as a health and wellness advocate and how she became eSTEM High School’s youngest certified nursing assistant. 

Sydney is currently a freshman at Grambling State University studying nursing.
