Segovia was recently accepted into the Minority Health Research Training Program at the University of Alabama – Birmingham. The training program is a part of UAB’s Department of Epidemiology, which studies the patterns and control of disease.
This summer she will head to Cheongju, South Korea where she’ll complete her traineeship at the Chungbuk National University, researching nutrition and obesity prevention.
Segovia is currently a junior at Tufts University majoring in Latino health studies.
