During her fall and spring semester Kandace joined a UAMS program called the S.U.P.E.R Project, which partners with HBCU’s in Arkansas and aims to help more underrepresented students pursue health care careers.

She is currently researching the decline of breastfeeding in the African American community in central Arkansas.

Kandace is also incorporating extracurriculars and leadership roles into her college experience. She’s the photo editor for the UAPB yearbook and additionally serves as the Director of Public Relations for the Student Government Association. 

Kandace is currently a sophomore at The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff majoring in biology.
