Walton College Executive Education develops individuals and grows organizations through interactive programs featuring case studies, speakers, group work, problem-solving exercises and expert instructors. Programs are facilitated by Walton College faculty and industry practitioners. The internship program is designed to complement the students’ education with work experience related to their chosen field of study. The intern will report to the Associate Director of Executive Education in Little Rock and will assist with the marketing, communication, and program management aspects of the department. The intern will be given relevant work assignments and will be expected to work autonomously and efficiently.
Job Duties:
– Work with the associate director to develop communication plans that promote program participation
– Write, edit and proof content that promotes the Walton brand and messaging through a variety of print and digital media channels, including advertisements, videos, website and social media
– Assist in execution of campaigns, maintain social media calendars and monitor social media metrics
– Conduct research to support strategic planning
– Assist the associate director with business development logistics
– Assist with logistics related to events and tradeshows
– Set-up and clean-up of meetings, classes, and events
– Answering phones, greeting guests, running errands and assisting with paperwork
Minimum qualifications:
1. Attainment or pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited institution of higher education
2. Ability to maintain a professional appearance and be punctual and dependable
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications:
1. Good computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
2. Willingness to learn to operate audio visual equipment
3. Resourceful and will attempt to solve a problem with minimal direct supervision
4. Ability to work flexible hours, between 20-30 hours per week
5. Ability to communicate confidently with members of the state’s business community
This experience will expose interns to community health centers around the state and association management. Community Health Centers of Arkansas, Inc. (CHCA) is a member association for community health centers in the state. Community health centers are federally supported clinics that provide high-quality healthcare to all, regardless of insurance status. Community health centers are not free clinics but have sliding scale fees to accommodate any financial status. Interns will be exposed to the daily duties of association management and the work that is required to serve our members.
