Miss University of Central Arkansas 2022, Nia Kelley, took a bigger stage in June, competing in Miss Arkansas 2022.
She sang the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart’s The Magic Flute, her performance making her the recipient of an impressive nine awards, totaling almost $12,000 in scholarships. She competed against 44 other contestants for the main award, making it to the top 15.
In addition to competing, she was able to participate in the Diamond State Princess program, mentoring two young girls during her time at the State Capitol.
Nia is currently a sophomore at the University of Central Arkansas majoring in vocal performance. She hopes to become an international singer and join the Metropolitan Opera Company of New York.
